New
Gratuity Service Fee for W2 Employees
A new “Gratuity Service Fee” custom service fee line item is now available in catering proposals and order forms. This fee is intended for W2 employee gratuity and is separate from the existing Tip line item (which goes to 1099 contractors). The fee is taxable, appears under the Service bucket, and is itemized on the proposal PDF and batch invoice detail.
Fix
Child Item & Parent Menu Item Fixes
Fixed how child items behave when a parent menu item is archived, copied, or converted from a proposal to an order. Destroyed child items are now properly excluded from copies, un-archiving a parent item correctly restores its associated child items, and a one-parent-per-child-item rule is now enforced across the board.
New
Captain Route Task Confirmation Stop
Captains on consumption-tracking routes now have a new “Additional Task Confirmation” stop. Before the stop can be marked complete, the system validates that all required consumption data has been entered — with a quick “Open Item Track” link if anything is still missing. Admins can configure task stops (Consumption Tracking or Adhoc) and assign them to specific route stops.
New
Consumption Category Validation on Order Conversion
When converting a proposal to a sales order for a consumption-tracking client, admins must now confirm at least one menu item has a consumption category assigned — or provide a written reason for bypassing the requirement. Orders created without categories display a persistent warning banner on the order detail page showing the bypass reason for full accountability.
New
Customization Counts Shown on Chef Dashboard
The Chef Dashboard now displays the count of modifications and chef notes per order directly on each group order card — both in the All Orders list view and the Calendar view — so Food Partners can immediately spot orders that require special attention before accepting.
New
Chef Order PDF Updates: Special Requests, Retail Price & Ops Contact
The Chef Order PDF has been updated with several improvements: a new Special Instructions section alerts Food Partners to the count of individual orders with customizations (Chef Notes and/or Mods), with each order's specific notes listed and sorted to the top; Retail Price is now a column in the order table (shows “Not Provided” if unavailable); and a new Delivery Contact section pulls from the new Ops Manager Lead field in the Market Managers tab — streamlining communication for ops leads in dual CN/Ops roles. Orders with Chef Notes are also now sorted to the top of group order labels and manifests.
New
Hot/Cold Item Indicator
Group order labels now display an “H” or “C” indicator next to the shelf ID based on whether an item is hot or cold, making it easier to sort deliveries at the client site. If no temperature status is set for an item, the indicator is omitted.
